FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

1. How long is the ride?
Gather at 7 am, leave by 9 am and arrive at the last stop at ~10 pm.

2. How many miles is the ride?
What makes our ride special is that it changes every year! Total distance typically varies between 65 and 80 miles.

3. That's a lot! How will I make it?
One pedal after the other. That's how. It's easy. We make enough rest stops and we also bring all the tools needed for basic repairs (just please bring inner tubes and we’ll get our hands dirty).

4. How long are the rest stops?
They're between 20 minutes to an hour depending on the spot.

5. What kind of spots?
Different kinds! We make it a priority to stop by historically and culturally significant sites. Please read details of the ride.

6. How much does it cost?
It's free. Donations for charity are strongly encouraged.

7. What's this charity thing about?
Every year we select a charity to donate all of our proceeds. Check our donations page for charity info.

8. I don't have a bike and want to join.
Renting a bike is as easy as ABC. There are many rental spots in NYC, ranging between $35 to $60 for a full day.

Spinlister: How to video. Strongly recommended. Cheapest option ($20 - $40 rentals). Great reviews and feedback.

9. How many people will there be?
We usually number around 30 riders.

10. Looks awesome, but I can't join until later in the day.
We encourage everyone to meet in the beginning. If you can't and still want to join, catch up to us where ever we are at that given time.

11. Is it cool to leave earlier?
We completely understand if you need to head out early! One rider, who will rename unnamed, had to tap out and put his bike in an Uber XL to get home. After being thoroughly shamed, he has completed every ride since and is now part of Team Pineapple.

12. How do I donate and get a ticket for the ride?
You can donate via Eventbrite (when you're getting your ticket) or the day of the ride. Cash is king!

13. If your bike matches your clothing, don’t bother KOMing. However we do hope you come and explore new routes and segments across the city. But know we ride at a “cruisin’ speed” as our rides are "seriously" chill.
